What happens if I can't make enough ice at home?
No ice? No worries. We have a trick that works a treat for those that can't access ice regularly. Check out this video!
INSTRUCTIONS: Place 1 part alcohol (eg. Methylated Spirits) to 3 parts water into your ice bag and store in the freezer. If the bag freezes too solid, add more alcohol. If it's too stiff, add more water. You can keep the ice bag in the freezer for regular use.
* If using just ice, do not place your ice bag in freezer after use as the melted ice will freeze solid and you will risk puncturing your ice bag.
Caution: Alcohol has a lower freezing temperature that water so the ice bag will be very cold. You may need a thin layer of material between your skin and the ice bag to avoid an ice burn.

Genuinely can’t recommend my Body Ice knee ice pack enough. It’s been a game changer for my recovery.
It really does manage my pain and reduce any swelling.
Super comfortable and easy to wear, whether I’m resting or moving around. I’ve been using it constantly for swelling and soreness — such a must have if you’re looking for an icepack or recovering from an injury!
I absolutely love the gel sleeve. It's so easy to put on after my rehab sessions/walks/swims and ensures I have swelling under control. An absolute must if you're going through knee injuries.
5 weeks in to a new left Knee replacement i have use my Body Ice products every day and found them fantastic and i could not rate them highly enough. The service i also received was 10 out of 10.
Another sporting parent recommended BodyIce & I thought “they sound handy”.
Now recovering from shin splints, I ordered a sleeve for myself & have discovered how great it is. Improves my recovery time & feels so soothing after a long run. Only downfall: I should have ordered two so I don’t need to swap between legs! :)
I wish I had of ordered these for straight after my ACL repair surgery. They have been amazing for pain relief. Especially the nerve pain. Highly recommend!
I just love my gel BodyICE sleeves. After playing Pickelball it’s just wonderful to put the cold sleeves on my knees. Absolute heaven! I’m sure they assist in my knee recovery until the next game 😀
I purchased this to manage some knee issues that stem from endurance running. It’s super comfortable and soft and stays in place so you can move around or lie down if needed. Definitely size down if on the cusp of the L for more compression if needed. Great product. Freezes fast. Feels very cold but not painful on the skin. Can’t wait to use everyday!
As a professional footballer and entrepreneur, I cannot recommend this product enough.
It was extremely convenient after training to heat up or, at times, leave it in the freezer.
I ordered another two for my mum and fellow teammate 😍
They are just too good!!
Hello I purchased your ice bag and Velcro strap, for knee replacement, from my surgeons practice- it was perfect for first few weeks. Once I started back at Pilates etc, I needed a sleeve that I could pull on post exercises. The gel sleeve is perfect and give immediate all round cooling
This product is fantastic! I’ve yet to try it hot/warm but cold it is brilliant and so effective. It fits perfectly. Stays put and is easy to keep in my freezer. Thank you for creating such a great product
I love this compression sleeve so much. I’ve only used it iced so far but it’s has made my knee injury recovery so much smoother and I have raved about it to anyone who will listen. It’s 100% worth the investment I cannot recommend it enough.
You could improve by actually answering my many requests for a refund. When I tried to contact you by phone I'm informed that the number is disconnected. As I've tried to tell you my knee circumference is 57cm and you don't sell anything that size. SO I WANT A REFUND!!!!
Your company has the worst customer service that I've encountered. I have also told my physio how poor your customer service is, and he is also advising his clients to stay away from your company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I purchased 2 gel knee aleeves as both my knees are bad. Find them so relieving after being up on my feet all day. Only negative is I should have got the small size as they fall down so I can only wear them lying down. I messaged the company to enquire how I can swap them but never got a reply. They are still great just wrong size.
The sleeve is great, I used it for the knee. Just that if straight out of the freezer after being kept there all the time, it is too cold and you must wait a few minutes before using it. Also I noticed that after using it for several days, it actually got a bit wider, adjusting to the knee/leg size and won't stay up anymore when walking.
Our BodyICE Recovery range is designed to be among the best ice packs for injuries, helping control pain and inflammation for all types of musculoskeletal issues, including sprains, strains, ligament and tendon injuries, and contusions. They’re also highly effective during recovery from orthopaedic surgery and are trusted by orthopaedic surgeons nationwide to reduce pain, minimise swelling, and lessen the need for pain medication.
What's included in the pack?
Each BodyICE Recovery pack includes an ice bag, a joint specific neoprene support and a net carry bag. You can also purchase additional ice bags.
Can I put the ice bag in the freezer?
Unless you have prepared the ice bag using the alcohol solution explained above, then you should not store the ice bag in the freezer. If you do, the melted ice will free solid and you will tear the ice bag when you try to break it up.
Can I use the packs for heat therapy?
Yes, our ice bags are great for heat therapy. Just fill the ice bags with hot tap water (not boiling) and apply with the straps as per normal.
Can I take BodyICE to hospital after surgery?
Yes. Orthopaedic surgeons recommend icing after surgery. All hospitals have ice so you can request your nurse to fill your ice bag for you when you're recovering from surgery in the hospital ward.
Are your ice packs lightweight and portable?
Yes, that's what makes us different! A lot of gel packs and ice blankets are heavy and bulky to travel with. Our simple ice bags with straps weigh less than 500g, which means they travel easy and you can fill with ice any time, anywhere without needing access to a freezer.
What is the best ice pack fro knee surgery?
We recommend our Medium Universal Ice Pack for post-operative knee surgery recovery. It’s designed for ease of use in both home and hospital settings, making it simple for patients or nurses to apply—especially if you’re wearing a knee brace. If you are over 95kg, we recommend the Large Universal for more coverage.
What if I can't make ice?
No ice?

How do I clean my BodyICE ice pack?
Empty the ice bag after use and allow it to air dry. The neoprene support can be hand washed in cool water with mild soap, then air dried.
How long will the pack stay cold or warm?
On average, BodyICE stays cold from 2-6 hours (with ice) and warm for around 30–40 minutes (with hot water), depending on conditions.
What makes BodyICE the best ice pack for injuries?
Our packs are reusable, mess-free, and designed to stay securely in place with compression — no slipping, no leaks, and no need to hold them in position. They’re trusted by athletes, weekend warriors, and healthcare professionals alike.
How long should I apply the ice pack for?
Apply for 15–20 minutes at a time, allowing the area to return to normal temperature before reapplying. Repeat throughout the day as needed.
What are the best children's ice packs for injuries?
Yes — you can safely use BodyICE directly on the skin for the recommended 15-20mins. For prolonged use, we recommend placing a thin layer of clothing or a towel between the pack and your skin to prevent ice burn or heat irritation.
How are your ice bags with straps different to your gel sleeves?
Our ice bags with straps are a two part system which includes and neoprene support and ice bag. These will stay colder for longer than our gel sleeves. The gel sleeves are made from hydrogel and are a hot/cold compression sleeve that you slip on. It will retain its temperature for a maximum 20minutes. Both are a great options for any kind of injury recovery.
