Uses & Storage
1. Unscrew the lid and fill 2/3 with ice or hot tap water (not boiling).
2. Secure the lid firmly and place through the hole of our joint specific neoprene straps. The velcro adheres anywhere on the neoprene strap allowing a custom fit and comfortable compression.
3. Empty your ice bag and store away from direct sunlight when not in use.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Place 1 part alcohol (eg. Methylated Spirits) to 3 parts water into your ice bag and store in the freezer. If the bag freezes too solid, add more alcohol. If it's too stiff, add more water. You can keep the ice bag in the freezer for regular use.
* If using just ice, do not place your ice bag in freezer after use as the melted ice will freeze solid and you will risk puncturing your ice bag.
Caution: Alcohol has a lower freezing temperature that water so the ice bag will be very cold. You may need a thin layer of material between your skin and the ice bag to avoid an ice burn.

In principle they are fine and very good value. The issue is that first one split ( and began to leak) and now the other has gone the same way. To your credit, you did replace the first one promptly but I fear the second has sprung a leak after any statutory return policy or guarantee has elapsed.

Sprained a ligament in my knee playing netball. I purchased an BodyIce bag. So much better than a bag of peas. Secure large openning means I can easily pop ice cubes in with no hassles or worries about leaks. Great product.
This is my second ice pack and I got the shoulder brace to hold the ice pack as well. Amazing! The grandpa style ice pack is the way to go. It sits well, it works well and has helped me so much. Lasts ages too. I had a very minor issue with one of my packs… contacted customer service who were so nice and so efficient. Issue fixed. No complaints. Worth the dosh.

After my hip replacement op I found that the 11inch ice bag gave immense relief against the severe pain The shape and size of the bag allows enough ice to last for several hours, and the shape spreads across the body comfortably. This is something everyone should have in their first aid kit.

My hospital provided me the same post total knee replacement to use immediately and to take home. Once home I ordered another so as I had one for both above and below knee. Molds nicely around knee. Only issue is that if not very tightly screwed up, it does leak once the ice melts.
So I'm currently in hospital and obviously packed my BodyICE Ice Pack. The nurse last night was so impressed with it that she told me she had already ordered her own this morning. It's so much better than the instant ice packs they have here.

Simply put. My left knee is kaput. Body Ice does not fix my knee but it takes the pain away. I do not have to rely on painkillers now which is great thanks to BodyIce! I can sleep very well now too. I recommend for pain but it can fix your knee up good. This an honest statement. Money spend on Body Ice is good in my case. Less pain! And easy to fill up the bag too...I just use my own created Ice cubes. Other ice bags might do the same job but this is great and Aussie idea. In hospital, recovering from a hip replacement, I was introduced to the Body ice bag. So impressed with it, I went online and bought not 1 but 3! One for myself and one for each of my son's families. What's included in the pack?
Each BodyICE Recovery pack includes an ice bag, a joint specific neoprene support and a net carry bag. You can also purchase additional ice bags.
Can I put the ice bag in the freezer?
Unless you have prepared the ice bag using the alcohol solution explained above, then you should not store the ice bag in the freezer. If you do, the melted ice will free solid and you will tear the ice bag when you try to break it up.
Can I use the packs for heat therapy?
Yes, our ice bags are great for heat therapy. Just fill the ice bags with hot tap water (not boiling) and apply with the straps as per normal.
Can I take BodyICE to hospital after surgery?
Yes. Orthopaedic surgeons recommend icing after surgery. All hospitals have ice so you can request your nurse to fill your ice bag for you when you're recovering from surgery in the hospital ward.
Are your ice packs lightweight and portable?

How do I clean my BodyICE ice pack?
Empty the ice bag after use and allow it to air dry. The neoprene support can be hand washed in cool water with mild soap, then air dried.
How long will the pack stay cold or warm?
On average, BodyICE stays cold from 2-6 hours (with ice) and warm for around 30–40 minutes (with hot water), depending on conditions.

Are your ice packs safe to use directly on skin?
Yes — you can safely use BodyICE directly on the skin for the recommended 15-20mins. For prolonged use, we recommend placing a thin layer of clothing or a towel between the pack and your skin to prevent ice burn or heat irritation.
How are your ice bags with straps different to your gel sleeves?
Our ice bags with straps are a two part system which includes and neoprene support and ice bag. These will stay colder for longer than our gel sleeves. The gel sleeves are made from hydrogel and are a hot/cold compression sleeve that you slip on. It will retain its temperature for a maximum 20minutes. Both are a great options for any kind of injury recovery.
